Kindling, a multicultural performance project in India, saw a blend of seven female artistes, all of different nationalities, portraying gender equality and empowerment of women through live music, dance and theatre recently in Gurgaon. The performance, organized by the embassy of Israel, illustrated the life of an Indian woman and the difficulties she faces.
Towards the end of show, the artistes shared experiences from their lives with the audience. The show was created by Israeli choreographer Shaked Dagan.
“We are all young artistes from varied parts of the world, staying in a different country like gypsies. We have fallen in love with India and having spent a lot of time here, practicing for our performance in Himachal, this place has now started to feel like home,” said Shaked.
